A lot of painting companies in San Luis Obispo County have a story that starts six months ago and a website full of stock photos. Ours starts in 1976.
The shop has been on Paso Robles Street for decades. The crew lives within 20 miles of it. Most have been on the team for years, some for over a decade. Christina Trombley grew up in this business, started working in it at 16, and took ownership in 2024.
We have been painting Central Coast homes through droughts, recessions, and 50 years of weather.
We are the painter you call when you want it done right and you want to talk to a real person who lives in your town.
Our own crew, on our own job. Every photo on this page is a Trombley project.
A real estimator walks the project in person or by video, asks about colors and trim, and photographs anything that needs repair.
Back within a few business days: products, prep, timeline, price, and warranty, all fixed. Nothing moves after you sign.

We walk it with you before we call it done. The 3-year workmanship warranty starts at that signature.
There are dozens of painting companies across San Luis Obispo County, and "best" depends on what you value. If you value local roots, we have been painting SLO County homes since 1976. If you value pricing that does not change after the contract is signed, every quote we write is fixed. If you value workmanship that lasts, every job is backed by a 3-year warranty. Get quotes from a few painters and compare those three things.
Exterior projects on a typical SLO County home run $4,500 to $25,000 depending on size, prep, and trim package. Interior runs from $400 for a single room to $20,000 for a full repaint. Cabinet refinishing runs $4,500 to $12,000. Every quote is fixed, written, and includes the products and timeline so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Sherwin-Williams Pro lines on every job. Outside, the exact product depends on the surface: stucco with hairline cracks gets Loxon elastomeric, wood siding gets Duration or Resilience acrylic, bare metal gets a dedicated anti-corrosion primer. Inside, walls typically get eggshell or matte, trim, and doors get satin or semi-gloss, and bathrooms and kitchens get a moisture-resistant formula. Cabinets get Emerald Trim Enamel and Pro Acrylic Urethane. The exact products are listed on every written quote.
Most interior repaints run three to five days from start to walkthrough. A single room is one to two days, a full home is one to two weeks. Exteriors take three to seven days depending on size. Cabinets are exactly five days, with a two- to three-week lead time in peak season. The exact timeline is on every written quote.
Yes, more than most home improvements per dollar spent. Industry data consistently shows exterior repaints recoup 50 to 100 percent of cost at resale, and interior repaints 60 to 100 percent. Beyond resale, paint protects your siding, trim, and substrates from UV damage and moisture. A $10,000 exterior repaint that prevents $30,000 in siding replacement is the most cost-effective work you can do to a house.
San Luis Obispo County has one of the better year-round painting climates in California. Exteriors work best from late spring through early fall when temperatures stay between 50 and 90 degrees. Coastal areas like Morro Bay and Cambria get a morning marine layer, so we schedule those jobs for afternoon work. Interiors and cabinets can be done year-round. Cabinet work happens in our climate-controlled shop, so weather never affects it.
All of San Luis Obispo County. That means Paso Robles, Templeton, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cambria and Arroyo Grande, from the wine country out to the coast and down through the Five Cities, plus Nipomo, Santa Maria and Orcutt. Every job runs the same way regardless of the zip code.
A free estimate takes 30 to 45 minutes. We walk the project, ask about colors and trim, photograph the problem areas, and follow up with a written fixed-price quote. We will respond within one business day.
